My Name is Elwynn Ravenscrafte. Im a 46 year old clay artist who lives in Gold Hill, NC.
I have a B.A.
from Collumbia College in Commercial Art, and have been an artist for as long as I can remember.
I work mostly in slab or coil building, as well as some sculpture. | |
My style is heavily influenced by
indiginous native peoples of Asia,
Africa,North American Indian,
Oriental, and Austrailian Aboriginal
pottery styles.
For me working in clay is always
a highly personal and deeply spiritual
experiance as well as an outlet for
exploring my need to express myself
in a creative manner.
Ive also worked with polymer clays
but find the use of real "EARTH"
clays a more spiritual experiance.
